[00:00.60]The Middle Child|[00:03.16] I am the middle child of the family.|[00:06.14] I think it is nice in some ways.|[00:08.69] I have an older sister from whom|[00:11.06] I can borrow clothes from, if she lets me.|[00:14.11] I get to meet my older sister's friends,|[00:17.03] although sometimes they think|[00:19.33] that I am too young to be with them.|[00:21.82] I have a younger brother.|[00:23.56] He is cute, but sometimes I have to baby-sit him.|[00:27.67] There are good things and bad things|[00:30.53] about being the middle child.|[00:33.08] My sister is the eldest child.|[00:36.13] She was the first child,|[00:38.05] so she spent time alone with my parents.|[00:41.29] She got lots of attention when she was first born.|[00:44.90] They took lots and lots of pictures of her.|[00:48.07] All her clothes and toys were brand new.|[00:51.37] I got her hand-me-downs.|[00:54.04] My parents were the strictest with her.|[00:57.22] They had lots of rules for her to follow.|[01:00.07] She is the first child, so they want her to be perfect.|[01:05.11] My younger brother is the baby of the family.|[01:09.22] I think that we all spoil him.|[01:12.08] We let him get away with some things|[01:14.63] that he shouldn't get away with.|[01:16.56] His room is always messy,|[01:18.99] and my mother never gets mad about that.|[01:21.97] She gets upset with me if my room is messy.|[01:25.46] She tells me that I'm old enough|[01:27.82] to keep a nice clean room.|[01:29.81] It's no good thinking about|[01:32.05] which position you would like to hold in the family.|[01:35.47] You really don't have a choice about that.|[01:38.27] I think I like being the middle child.|[01:41.32] I can relate to my older sister and my younger brother.|[01:45.17] Yes, I think the middle is probably a good place to be.
