[00:00.30]Super Heroes|[00:04.40] When my brother was very young, he loved super heroes.|[00:09.19] He collected plastic figures of all the super heroes.|[00:13.98] I think he had every super hero figurine that there was.|[00:19.20] He used to tie a towel over his shoulders|[00:21.88] and run through the back yard.|[00:25.18] He pretended that he was rescuing people.|[00:28.47] One time he stood on the roof.|[00:31.90] He really thought|[00:33.08] that he could fly with his super hero cape on.|[00:36.50] He would have hurt himself if he had jumped.|[00:40.36] My dad saw him and told him to get down.|[00:43.96] My dad explained to my brother|[00:45.89] that super heroes are not real.|[00:49.32] Real people cannot fly from rooftops.|[00:52.98] My brother was disappointed.|[00:55.78] He thought that the super heroes really existed.|[01:00.14] My dad explained|[01:01.57] that most super heroes were created|[01:03.25] as comic book characters.|[01:06.17] Somebody used their imagination to make them up,|[01:08.91] and then an artist drew them.|[01:11.64] My brother was not impressed.|[01:14.63] He said that he wanted to meet the super heroes.|[01:18.30] My father told him|[01:19.86] that he might meet someone dressed up as a super hero,|[01:22.66] but it wouldn't really be a super hero in the costume.|[01:26.27] It is hard to explain to small children|[01:27.82] that the things that they see in comic books|[01:30.06] and on television aren't really real.|[01:33.73] My brother still pretends that he is a super hero.|[01:39.83] He doesn't jump from rooftops,|[01:41.57] but he runs around and makes noises like he is flying.|[01:45.99] I look at him and remember|[01:47.48] when I used to do things like that.|[01:50.05] I'm more mature than my brother.|[01:52.11] I know that super heroes aren't real,|[01:54.78] but I know that he is having fun and using his imagination.
