I am known|[00:07.73] as the "King/Queen" of the school this year.|[00:11.47] I feel very grown up.|[00:13.58] I love being the oldest kid in the school.|[00:16.57] My friends and I are told|[00:18.87] that we are examples to the younger kids in the school.|[00:22.04] That means we need to be good.|[00:24.22] I remember looking up to the grade eight kids|[00:26.52] when I was younger.|[00:27.95] I remember thinking|[00:29.44] how big and wise they seemed to be.|[00:31.56] Now that I'm in grade eight,|[00:33.55] I hope that the younger kids see me as wise.|[00:36.35] I want to be a music teacher or maybe a nurse.|[00:40.08] My school counsellor helps me plan for high school.|[00:43.75] I am nervous because I know|[00:46.55] I will not feel like the "King" anymore.|[00:48.54] Things will be so different. I am excited|[00:52.15] because I will be meeting so many new people!|[00:55.07] I am looking forward to my graduation.|[00:58.06] I will wear a pink, silky dress.|[01:00.86] My shoes are a light pink, too.|[01:03.41] My date's name is Chad. He is very nice.|[01:07.58] He is a good friend.|[01:09.26] I have known Chad since I was a little girl.|[01:12.24] I know that my future will be a bright one.|[01:15.10] I will miss all of my friends|[01:16.91] but I know we will see each other again someday.
